Introduction
Yippie Ki Yay is a progression oriented guild dedicated toward experiencing all aspects of World of Warcraft at an engaging pace, in a friendly and mature environment. Our members come from all walks of life; from college students to career professionals and every combination in between we strive to be dedicated raiders and further dedicated to our guild. Though our backgrounds and occupations vary greatly, we're all here to have fun! Fun for us is always pushing to be the best in our raiding environment, while maintaining a respectable and mature social atmosphere.


Schedule
Our current raid schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday, Sunday, and Monday — from 7:30 to 11:00 PM CST (Server time) — with off-nights being used for 10 man runs.

If you wish to raid, you are expected to be ready to go AT RAID TIME. This means your armor is repaired, you have all the consumables you may need, the reagents necessary for raid buffs, lots of water and/or food created, and raid specced.

If you are not ready at raid time, you are not only letting 24 other people down by being late, but you are showing yourself to be unreliable — which can (and will) effect future invites. However, if something comes up and you are unable to make it on time, DO let the guild know via the website ahead of time. But don't make it a habit.



What we would like from you

* Initiative: You've read strategies, obtained consumables, and are ready to go every night for raids. You communicate with the other raid members to coordinate fight specific strategies. You must have the desire to constantly improve your play. You must be able to take constructive criticism so that you can improve your play. We want people who are good, but who are always striving to be better.

* Dedication: You're here pretty much every night. If you have some weird life circumstances that may be interrupting your play time or will in the future then we really aren't looking for you. We need people who can keep 90% attendance. IF YOU CAN'T KEEP 90% ATTENDANCE DON'T APPLY. Unless of course you are applying for a backup spot.

* Reliability: This fits hand and hand with dedication. We need to be able to rely on you to be there on the tough nights when we're trying to beat new content. We need to know you're not going to flake out and disappear for a week, or that you're going to leave an hour early from raids on a regular basis. We expect 90%+ raid attendance.

* Skill: You need to able to adapt to changing situations and go above and beyond the basic assignment asked of you. You need to be able to think for yourself so that you can do your assigned job as well as help others. Twitch and fast reaction times are needed for you to do the job that will be required of you.

* Gear: You need to show that you put time, effort, and thought into your gear. You gear is a reflection of your knowledge of how your class works and your dedication to improving your character. Being Exalted with the Sons of Hodir for a PVE shoulder enchant for example, is a must. If you don't have it please note that we will consider it.

* Personality: We do consider feedback critical to success. You need to be able to take criticism when you make a mistake and you need to be able to let the criticism roll off without it stressing you out.

All applicants must meet the following conditions:

1. You must be available and online to raid at least 9 out of 10 raids. We understand that there are more important things in life than the nightly raid. However we need players who are here night in and night out so we grow as a raid group based on our consistant turnout.
Our raid times are Tue/Wed/Sun 7:30-11:00pm (server time) or as late as midnight. We will sometimes raid on Mondays, at the same time especially during large progression pushes.

2. We are only looking for mature players. From our experience, anyone under 18 does not have the level of maturity and dedication needed in this guild. Therefore, you need to be AT LEAST 18 to be considered.

3. You must be dedicated to raiding as your primary goal. Many members enjoy PvP and do so in their free time, but you need to show up on time and PvE specced to raids. Do not link us armory in pvp gear this gives us no insight into your understanding of gear.

4. WE ARE NOT GOING TO GEAR YOU UP. We expect applicants to be in at least full 10 man epics (AND FULLY ENCHANTED AND GEMS), 25 man gear is a plus.

5. Good attitude and ability to take criticism.

6. You must be willing to farm and bring all consumables needed to every raid.

7. You must be willing to sit out for other members if the situation dictates it.

8. Ventrilo. If you don't have it/know what it is, you probably should save yourself some time.

9. Appropriate raiding mods.

10. You cannot expect to get a raiding spot as soon as you join. We give all new members a chance to prove themselves, but only when we decide, not you. Any complaints by aspirants regarding not getting a raid spot is an instant gkick.
